Deep dive into local-first architecture and Ollama.

Kronux is built on a single principle: your time data is yours. It never leaves your Mac.

Local-First Architecture

Your database, your logs, and the AI model all run on your machine. No sync to the cloud. No accounts. No telemetry. Kronux monitors active windows locally, stores everything in SQLite on disk, and classifies activity using Ollama's Llama 3.2—all without an internet connection.

Ollama & Llama 3.2

Kronux ships with Ollama integration by default. The built-in Llama 3.2 model runs entirely on your Mac's CPU or GPU. Every "Client call" or "Deep work" label is generated locally—no API calls, no data sent to external servers.

Sensitive App Handling

Apps like 1Password, banking software, and password managers are automatically detected. Window titles are stripped before logging—only the app name is recorded. Your secrets stay in your head.

Trust, Verified

Kronux is open about its architecture. No hidden uploads. No analytics. If you're a high-value client handling confidential work, Kronux gives you a time tracker you can trust.
